We believe that you should make the most of your mornings. You can have the softest sheets to help give you the best night’s sleep, but a rushed morning can leave you frazzled for the rest of the day. The way you spend your morning helps set the tone of how the rest of your day is going to be, so why not make the most of it?
Set Your Alarm 30 Minutes Earlier
By setting your alarm half an hour early, you should also sleep half an hour earlier. You could always use extra #beautysleep, and waking up earlier gives you more time to organize yourself for the day. So often we rush around in the morning trying to do a million things at once – waking up earlier gives you a little time to get yourself together before stepping out the door.
Practice Contrast Showering
This might be something that you haven’t heard of, but has been tested and true by the industry’s leading health experts. Contrast showering (yes, we know it sounds crazy) means that you shower with alternating hot and cold water. Towards the end of your shower do about 20 seconds hot and 10 seconds cold, repeating for several rounds. End it with a cold round and hop out. Not only does this wake up your nervous system, but it actually burns fat. Yes, you read that right!
Sound a little drastic? Start off by just showering with 10 seconds of cold water before you hop out. Dry off with a soft towel and you’re good to go!
Set Aside 15-20 Minutes to Do Something For You
This step is something we believe to be crucial. Start by burning incense, whichever you choose. Take about 15-20 minutes to just sit and do something you love. This can include meditation, reading – anything to just help you relax and quiet your mind before a busy day.
There are so many little things that can really have a positive impact on your day. Meditating and/or reading in the morning can really help you center yourself and get in the “zone”.
